A friend once told me that he felt terrible about using biodegradable doggie bags and then stuffing them into a plastic kitchen bag. That stayed with me until I found this wonderful product. First the positive: it's a great value for the money, lots and lots of bags for the money, a variety of sizes for every occurrence (yard, pets and kitchen.) Plus, they work just as well as those kitchen bags from Cosco. My only complaint (and it's not that big at all) is that it would make me happier if the bags were shipped in one big box instead of 5 small boxes (which by the way, are by themselves very nice and would actually make a nice gift to someone that doesn't use bio bags.) No, you will not get 5 individual shipments, you will get one box with 5 small boxes inside. Either way, this is a great product. Do the right thing!! - J. Gabriel Madrigal

how we test our biodegradable plastic products

To test oxo biodegradable plastic products is not an easy job because when its been made, you can not tell any difference from ordinary plastics, so it is important to have standard operation process to prepare for the testing process.

Firstly, we start the small scale trial production of around 100~500KG conventional plastics finished goods, and at the end of this production run, we add oxo biodegradable additives which is specially formulated and designed that tailors to the product application we wish to produce. By doing conventional and degradable samples in the same production run, we will make sure all factors have been controlled, so we have "controlled samples" and "degradable samples".

Secondly, we do some simple sampling process and collect the equivalent amount of samples of each type(usually 500g~1000g) depend on the production type, and then send to lab for testing to see whether the physical properties have been affected and whether the degradation start as planned (ASTM D6954-04)

Finally, usually we need to wait for around 30~60 working days for the aging test (QUV and thermal), so here you go the summary of our test reports. Generally, every application trial takes 3~6 months to develop, and so far we have more than 100 application trials.
